Hello everyone! In the past few weeks, construction has been moving along quickly! We have been able to fill all of the classrooms with gravel sand, and we are finishing watering and compacting it so that we can top off the sand before pouring the concrete for the floors. The ceiling joists are complete, and we will post a video soon to show you the work being done on the last two classrooms. As mentioned in our last update, we have collected estimates for the electrical materials, including labor costs for the electrical work. We also have estimates for constructing the ceiling with plywood and ceiling buttons; the plywood has already been purchased. These estimates are listed below.

Electrical estimates:

1. Electrical wires, pipes and fittings – GH₵ 1,800 ($428 USD, EUR 361)
2. 10 fans – GH₵ 1,000 ($239 USD, EUR 200)
3. Workmanship  – GH₵ 800 ($190 USD, EUR 160)

Total Electrical costs: GH₵ 3,600 ($857 USD, EUR 721)

Ceiling estimates:

1. 48 Pieces of Plywood – (already purchased) GH₵ 1,680 ($400 USD, EUR 337)
2. 19 pieces of 2 x 6 wood – GH₵ 760 ($180 USD, EUR 152)
3. 1 box of 1 ½ inch nails – GH₵ 48 ($11.43 USD, EUR 9,60)
4. 1 box of ½ inch nails – GH₵ 48 ($11.43 USD, EUR 9,60)
5. Treatment of wood – GH₵ 100 ($24 USD, EUR 20)
6. Transportation of lumber and plywood – GH₵ 200 ($48 USD, EUR 40)
7. Workmanship – GH₵ 1,600 ($381 USD, EUR 321)
